Quarter 1 2026 Update

Quarter 1 2026 Update

Here you go!  A quick update on the goings on of COF in the past quarter.  It seems we just had Christmas and New Year’s and yet, here we are in April.  It’s true what they say about time flying when you’re having fun.

The month of January started us off with a lecture from our dear friend, Charlotte Strickland, who spoke to us on the importance of empathy.  Charlotte is a lifelong educator and encourager.  We love Charlotte and we are always so delighted when she has time to spend with the COF staff.  If you’d like to host a meeting with Charlotte for your staff just let us know and we’ll get her contact info to you.  You won’t regret it.

February was the big month for us so far.  On Feb. 7th, COF hosted the Night to Remember Mardi Gras Gala benefitting the Arkansas Alzheimer’s Association.  That night truly was unforgettable.  From the music, to the food, to the silent auction, all of it was more than we could imagine and the best part being we raised $50,000 for the association. This donation in addition to other fundraisers around the state made Arkansas the largest donor to the Alzheimer’s Association in the United States for the month of February.  We literally led the nation.   Mark your calendar for Feb 6, 2027.  We are already in the planning stage for the next one and I promise you…YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS IT.

In March, Allen Winkler, COO, Mike South, Little Rock Facility Director and Lacey Hernandez, Training and Development Manager, attended the ICJA conference in Washington, DC.  During this time, they had meaningful visits with legislators and their staff for both Arkansas and Louisiana, advocating on behalf of City of Faith and our reentry populations.  I am so grateful for a staff that truly loves our mission and wants to spread the word.

The word we adopted for 2026 was “Influence” and I believe this is the right focus for us.  As we grow, it is my prayer that City of Faith will be seen and heard everywhere and more and more people will buy into our mission and vision.  We can’t change the whole world but I believe we can, at the very least, make our little corner of it better.

Until next quarter,

Terry
