Employee Highlight: Kenny Gipson Employee of the Month

Kenny plays an important role at City of Faith by helping residents work toward their goals and reconnect with their families. Seeing individuals succeed in their recovery and reentry journey is what he enjoys most about his work and what continues to motivate him each day.
He believes one of the ways he makes a difference for his team is by being understanding and taking the time to listen to others and learn how they approach different tasks. During his time at City of Faith, he has learned the importance of slowing down, listening carefully, and being intentional in his work.
Kenny was drawn to City of Faith because it gave him the opportunity to return to work that focuses on helping people in the community, something he has always valued. His faith continues to inspire and guide him both personally and professionally.
One accomplishment he is especially proud of?  Successfully assembling an entertainment center without it falling apart afterward.
Outside of work, Kenny enjoys listening to audiobooks and watching cartoons to relax and unwind. His favorite show is Watson, and if he could have any superpower, he says he would want to be like the Bionic Man.
Kenny’s advice for new team members:
Be consistent and honest.
Thank you, Kenny, for your dedication, steady presence, and commitment to helping others succeed.
